Taryn was an avid rock climber for 14 years before suffering a rotator cuff tear that took her off the wall. Following a year of physical therapy with little progress, she was at a loss for how to find healing. Six months after stopping physical therapy she decided to see if yoga, which she had done on and off for years, could help. Slowly but surely, she found her range of motion and strength improving.
Taryn found that on her mat she could find calm and truly breathe (and with a healing shoulder the ability to wash her own hair!). Seeking to learn more she decided to pursue the 200-hour YTT. In March of 2019 she received her YogaWorks teaching certification here at Blue Lotus Yoga studio.
A lifelong Annapolitan, Taryn is a nine-to-fiver during the week. She enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends, reading, and finding places to use her American Sign Language skills. Taryn is currently teaching Prenatal yoga at Blue Lotus Yoga Studio and works to help expectant mothers find a safe place to move, breathe, and take a little time out of their day to care for themselves.
