Julie Nogueira is Co-Founder/Owner of Blue Lotus Yoga Studio in Annapolis, Maryland. A former gymnast and choreographer, Julie discovered yoga soon after graduating college and was struck by the challenging nature of the practice, both physically and emotionally. Today she relies on her consistent yoga practice to maintain some semblance of calm in her busy life. 


Julie received her RYT 200-hour certification through Charm City Yoga (now YogaWorks) in 2014, and an additional 50 hours of Yin training led by TJ Maher in 2017. She has trained with influential teachers whom she admires, including Seane Corn, Baron Baptiste, and Kathryn Budig. 


Julie teaches vinyasa classes to students of all levels using a holistic approach by integrating aromatherapy, pranayama, and an uplifting soundtrack to energize and motivate. In addition to teaching and running the day-to-day operations of BLYS, Julie leads destination retreats, workshops, and Yoga By the Bay during the summer months. She lives in Annapolis with her husband, Jay, her three sons, and their two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.
