Leslie received her 200-hour yoga certification in 2014 while studying under Lynn Mathews and Yoga 4 Life. Her love of yoga began in her early 20’s while searching for alternative methods to help with anxiety and depression. Leslie is passionate about the mind/body connection that the practice brings to her life and hopes to share this benefit with others. Students can expect a nice balance of meditation and asana in her BLYS Gentle class. Leslie also teaches children and believes in the importance of building a foundation of mindfulness early on.

In 2015 Leslie received her Yoga Nidra Certification studying under Kamini Desai with the Amrit Yoga Institute. Yoga Nidra is a sleep-based meditation technique where clients are led through a practice that creates a combination of alert awareness and deep relaxation. Yoga Nidra is proven to help with many adversities we are currently facing in our society such as addiction, anxiety, depression, PTSD, insomnia, Parkinson’s Disease, and Multiple Sclerosis, to name a few.

Leslie’s full-time job is the role of mom to her three young boys. She enjoys spending time at home with her family, taking daily walks with friends, attending her children’s sporting events and blogging about the stressors and joys of being a woman, mom, and wife in today’s society.
