Sarah

Barre Instructor

Sarah first found barre when she was in Physical Therapy school in Charleston, SC. As a former gymnast and cheerleader, she immediately fell in love with the fitness challenge, form, and choreography to upbeat music. Sarah became certified to teach barre in 2014 in Atlanta, GA where she taught until her recent move to Annapolis.

Sarah loves that the workout is low impact and targets all of the small stabilizing muscles of the body. The exercises and muscle isolation techniques in a barre class are very similar to the exercises that she incorporates into her patients’ treatment sessions. Barre has many benefits and a strong core is the foundation for a healthy body. Sarah believes maintaining proper form is key for exercise, not only to achieve the maximum benefit but also to prevent injuries.

She finds that barre is a unique form of exercise for all ages and fitness levels. There are always ways to modify or advance an exercise depending on what her clients need on a given day. Sarah’s classes are very energetic and you will always find a good beat drop in her music.

In her free time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, traveling, spending time outdoors, exercising, cooking and watching SEC football.
