Kate Curry

Co-Lead Trainer

Kate Curry began her yoga journey over two decades ago, sparked by a class she attended at the corporate fitness facility where she worked. With a B.S. in Kinesiology, she entered her 200-hour and 300-hour Kunga Yoga Teacher Trainings with a strong foundation in movement science and mindful alignment.


Over the years, Kate has trained with renowned teachers including Kristin Cooper-Gulak, Donna Gardner, Marlyssa Sullivan, Michael “Mukti” Buck, Deon De Wiit, David Emerson, Josh Summers, Jack Kornfield, Tara Brach, and Kathryn Budig. She is a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP), a Level 3 AYC teacher, a 5Elements Flow Certified Instructor, a Warriors At Ease Level 1 Instructor, and a 50-hour Foundations of Yin Yoga Teacher through the Summers School of Yin Yoga.


With more than twenty-three years of teaching experience, Kate brings a deep love for both the physical and spiritual aspects of the practice. Her classes emphasize mindful, purposeful movement, strong alignment principles, and accessible variations so that every student—at any level—feels supported.


Based in Annapolis, MD, Kate teaches group classes, mentors new teachers, and works with private clients. She leads workshops, retreats, and continuing education as a YACEP, serves as the Director of the 300-Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training at Blue Lotus Yoga Studio, and is a Co-Lead Trainer for the BLYS 200-Hour YTT.
