We've Got A Class For You
BLYS holds in-studio yoga and fitness classes, as well as outdoor classes on a floating platform at Annapolis Sailing School June through September. Click to view our current schedule.
Yoga
Gentle Yoga
Gentle Yoga is a soft, well-supported practice. Slow transitions allows yogis to connect with their breath and relax their minds. This class is appropriate for all levels of ability and experience.
Restorative Yoga
The purpose of restorative yoga is to bring about a state in which there is no movement or effort and the brain is quiet. Students are fully supported with props so they can experience a deep sense of relaxation.
Vinyasa II
Vinyasa II is perfect for seasoned beginners and intermediate practitioners who are ready to expand their practice. Expect a dynamic class, as well as introductions to inversions and arm balances, in a room heated to 90°.
Hot Power Vinyasa
This dynamic style of yoga focuses on building strength and endurance. Power Vinyasa is a music-driven, flowing class that takes place in a room heated to 95°. Students will leave feeling powerful and invigorated!
Yin Yoga
Yin yoga invites you to slow down and create space for stillness while nourishing joints, ligaments, tendons and fascia. Students hold poses for 3-5 minutes, and incorporate props to create as little effort as possible.
All Levels Vinyasa
All Levels Vinyasa is a mixed-levels class that moves at a quicker pace than Vinyasa I but offers more modifications than a typical Vinyasa II class.

Prenatal Yoga
Research shows that practicing yoga during pregnancy offers numerous benefits for women and their babies. It's also a great way to connect with other mothers-to-be and establish friendships that go far beyond the birth.
Vinyasa I
This slow-paced flowing practice connects breath to movement. Levels 1 is perfect for those who are either new to vinyasa yoga or prefer a gentler, more descriptive class.

Vinyasa Express
Rise and shine! This early morning 45-minute class takes place indoors October through May and on the dock at Annapolis Sailing School May through September.

Fitness
Barre
A BLYS barre class mixes elements of Pilates, ballet, yoga, and functional training. Students use the barre and various props to sculpt, stretch and work up a sweat.

Circuit
Clients move their way around different stations and perform each exercise as many times as they can in a set amount of time. Unlike all of our other classes sneakers are required for this class.

Power Core
This BLYS signature format combines yoga with fitness moves designed to isolate and strengthen the true core. Props like blankets, gliders, and balls are incorporated, plus an energizing playlist!
